Electrical Designer

Mecaplan was founded in 2001 as a Finnish engineering and design firm. Our mission is to improve quality of life by developing products and technologies for our customers. We serve manufacturing industry clients with product development, project delivery and production ramp-up, offering mechanical design, electrical design, documentation and technical expertise. Mecaplan people are over 40 and our offices are in Helsinki, Turku and Nivala. We create value for our customers by improving manufacturability of products and accelerating development projects and transfer to production. Customer sectors include machine and equipment building, electrical and energy industry, electronics and telecommunications, marine, defence, cleantech and medical. We are seeking an electrical designer for client projects in our southern and western teams, located in Helsinki, Turku and Tampere regions. We seek to strengthen especially for upcoming projects in the capital region. We work primarily in a hybrid model at customer sites according to their hybrid working practices, and aim to meet the team once a month at Mecaplan’s office. Projects are often long and large, so you will dive into the core of the client organization’s work using your professional strengths. Typically 1–2 Mecaplan employees work on the same project, occasionally a larger team. The duties are tailored per person and the aim is long-term employment and growth in different roles. The base salary level for the role, depending on experience, is approximately 3500–5500 €/month, plus bonuses and good fringe benefits. To succeed you can be an experienced electrical designer or on a strong growth path with a few years of relevant experience. We value previous experience in electrical design across our client sectors, and experience with various environments. You will work with electrical drawings using database-based design tools such as Eplan, E3, CADS. You keep your skills up to date and are curious about new professional challenges. You work fluently in English, and Finnish language skills are also desirable.
