Region Manager

Region Manager to strengthen Finland’s visibility and appeal among top international talent and researchers in the United States and North America and to support Finnish companies in accessing the talent pools in the US – especially in deep tech fields. Your mission is to promote Finland as a career destination, build and nurture relationships within US talent ecosystems, and support Finnish companies, universities and research organizations in attracting global experts. This is a business operations role and, in this role, you are not responsible for actual recruitments for companies but supporting them to reach right kind of talents. WHAT YOU GET TO DO In this role, you will: Promote Finland as a leading location for tech professionals and researchers in the US market Map and engage local talent ecosystems (universities, research labs, companies, startup hubs, incubators, investor and industry networks) and build strong, trust‑based relationships. Identify, build and manage partnerships with key local stakeholders, ecosystem players, headhunting and recruitment companies who can help us reach relevant talent and communities. Plan and execute events and activities (meetups, talks, roadshows, conference side‑events, etc.) that highlight Finland’s opportunities in deep tech and related fields. Drive proactive media and PR efforts in the US market in close collaboration with our communications team in Finland, Business Finland’s Invest in colleagues in the US, our PR partners and Team Finland network. Act as a local expert and connector between talent pools and Finnish employers, universities, research institutions and cities – opening doors, providing market insight and facilitating collaboration. Contribute to Team Finland cooperation in the US and leverage existing Finland–US collaboration platforms to advance shared goals. The United States is the primary focus of the role, with occasional responsibilities and travel also extending to Canada. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues in Finland, Business Finland colleagues in the U.S., and other Team Finland partners across North America.
