Nurse

Tyks Acute Geria-trics team is seeking a nurse for a fixed-term position until 31 July 2027. Work starts per agreement. The acute geriatric team aims to identify frail elderly patients arriving at the emergency department who benefit from geriatric assessment during the visit. Our work aims to shorten the time spent in the emergency department, prevent deterioration of function, and ensure follow-up care that matches the patient’s needs and supports functioning. The team operates in collaboration with Tyks Acute and the geriatrics service area, with plans to extend to weekend shifts in the future. As a nurse, you participate in assessing frail elderly emergency patients together with a geriatrics specialist and Tyks Acute physicians and nurses. In addition to assessment, you are responsible for the patient’s clinical nursing care and participate in planning their continued care. You will work closely with relatives, home care, and other parties responsible for continued care. You will have the opportunity to use your geriatric nursing expertise broadly and develop your skills in emergency nursing as part of a multidisciplinary expert team. The Acute Geriatrics team operates in its own unit at Tyks Acute. The team works on weekdays (Mon–Fri) in two shifts from 8:00 to 20:00.
