We are Grüns, operating multiple storefronts for mature businesses and start-ups. We seek a Senior Shopify Full Stack Developer who will own the Shopify architecture end to end, drive AI-powered engineering workflows, and maintain high technical standards in a lean, high-impact team. This role has full ownership from architecture to deployment and will shape Grüns' speed and capability for years to come. You will own the shared theme and design system architecture, build features like bundle builders and membership flows, integrate Shopify Plus with back-end systems, and work with cross-functional partners to translate business priorities into tech milestones. The role is part of our remote HQ with bi-annual in-person off-sites. We offer competitive compensation with a base salary around $150k-$175k plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities
- Own the shared theme and design system architecture across all Grüns storefronts
- Architect and ship major features from design handoff to production
- Build AI-powered engineering workflows to increase speed and enable non-engineers
- Design and implement scalable systems, components, and tooling
- Ensure site performance, SEO readiness, accessibility, and uptime
- Integrate Shopify Plus with backend systems like CRM, CDP, order management, and fulfillment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical milestones
- Champion engineering quality with automated testing and CI/CD
Requirements
- 7-10 years of full stack development experience
- At least 4 years building Shopify themes and apps with Liquid and React
- Proven track record owning front-end and back-end Shopify builds end to end
- Experience building a shared theme or design system across multiple brands
- Familiarity with headless commerce approaches
- Experience with Shopify Plus, Liquid, React/Next.js, Node.js, Tailwind, GraphQL and REST APIs
- CI/CD pipelines experience
