Test Automation Lead

VALA is seeking a Test Automation Lead who is passionate about driving software quality and has a strong understanding of what constitutes quality software. The role combines technical expertise in test automation with leadership responsibilities to guide a team and shape automation strategy across projects. The candidate should share VALA’s values and culture, and be able to collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to design and implement scalable, maintainable test automation solutions. The duties include leading the design and execution of test automation for diverse clients and domains, mentoring team members, and ensuring the automation architecture aligns with the overall software development lifecycle. Fluency in Finnish and English is required, with good communication skills and a collaborative mindset. The recruitment process is iterative and thorough, starting with culture fit discussions with the People team, followed by a technical assessment and client-facing interview rounds. Salary in this posting is presented as a range (€5,350–€6,650 per month) depending on experience and expertise, with opportunities for future participation in equity or stock programs.
