Food production operator

We are seeking a food production operator for a permanent position for our client. The company develops and manufactures cat and dog raw food products, dry food, and treats for well-known pet brands. The established operation began in 2013, and due to continued growth new production facilities were opened in Lieto in 2020. A strong trust in Finnish food industry and its clean raw materials, together with continuous development, enables us to offer increasingly better and environmentally friendly products to our customers. As an operator your main responsibility is to ensure and oversee the operation of the pet dry food production line. The role may also involve processing and handling meat raw materials. As an operator you are responsible for using different machines and lines independently and for keeping production running. You work independently but enjoy being part of a team as well; the team includes assistant operators and packers. In the extrusion line you will be part of the core dry pet food production where automation and technology control the process. The job covers the different stages of the line from handling raw materials to finished product. You monitor and adjust process parameters, take care of equipment functioning, and make independent decisions to respond to potential disturbances. The job requires technical understanding of production processes and the ability to interpret process parameters. The work is varied and combines practical tasks, such as pallet handling, with technical monitoring and decision-making. A solid foundation for the operator role is previous experience in food production, especially with automated production lines and systems. Independent work comes naturally to you and you are not afraid of taking responsibility. A ready-to-work professional does not need to know everything yet; the most important is the will and ability to learn. We value the ability to adapt to the physical environment of meat processing facilities, and the ability to work in Finnish and/or English – at least one language spoken fluently. The job is in three shifts. Our client’s factory is in constant growth and we focus strongly on developing our processes. The position offers permanent employment in a friendly work community.
