In this vacancy you will be part of the Solution Engineering team, and will also work closely with our Bioinformatics, Clinical Bioinformatics, Data Science, Product and IT Operations/DevSecOps teams. You work in a versatile role, building and maintaining the web platforms our lab, clinicians and geneticists rely on every day, spanning test ordering and case management, laboratory operations, clinical interpretation, and internal knowledge management tools. You will have a central role in modernizing and integrating these platforms and in helping the team adopt strong engineering, DevSecOps and AI-assisted development practices across a growing, cloud-native stack. Your work will include full-stack feature development, cloud infrastructure-as-code, and helping ensure our production software efficiently and securely supports clinical operations in a regulated environment. Your main tasks will include: Design, build and maintain features across our web platforms, spanning customer- and clinician-facing ordering and case-management flows, laboratory operations tooling, and clinical interpretation software; Work across the full stack: modern TypeScript front ends (React, Next.js, Angular), Node.js, Go and PHP back ends, and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) via modern ORMs; Build, maintain and evolve our AWS cloud infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments; Partner with our DevSecOps function to keep infrastructure secure and compliant: infrastructure and container image scanning, managed authentication, and Quest's secure software development standards; Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Bioinformatics, Clinical Bioinformatics, QA/RA and clinical stakeholders (geneticists, lab operations) to turn clinical and laboratory workflow needs into reliable, well-tested software; Contribute to integrations between our internal platforms, external partners, and internal bioinformatics pipelines; Support regulated software processes: change management, release management and validation documentation for our medical device software; Follow a modern, AI-forward software development process: use GitHub, Jira, Confluence and Slack to plan and document your work, and use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows as a core part of how you build, test and review software.

Requirements
- A BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Fullstack developer
- Recent, hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and agentic development workflows
- A solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL) and API design
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong teamwork and mentoring abilities
- Experience with AWS cloud
- Experience with React/Next.js/Angular and Go
- Security-minded CI/CD and IaC
- Agentic AI development experience
- Bioinformatics/genomics background a plus
