Site Manager

Site Manager for power plant construction on international assignments with travel, primarily based in Finland. The role involves managing and supervising a new-build power plant construction site abroad (100% travelling). When not on site, office work may occur during mobilization of new projects. You will be part of the power plant project execution team with diverse expertise. Responsibilities include planning and leading site execution, maintaining customer relationships, leading the Wärtsilä team on site, and ensuring construction management and compliance with HSSE/quality standards. Duties include mobilization and execution planning, site administration and resource planning, coordinating all construction activities, applying the Last Planner System, tracking schedule and progress, ensuring local laws compliance, conducting site inductions, organizing site meetings, reporting, cost-saving procedures, budgeting, subcontracting, and local purchases, and safeguarding contract requirements and handover to the customer. Requirements include a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), extensive international construction experience, proven leadership on projects abroad, further education in construction management, strong English (additional languages advantageous), communication and teamwork skills, systematic project documentation, EHSS qualifications, and willingness to travel abroad for over 250 days/year. Visa/work permit eligibility for destination countries is required.
