Original job description

Istekki’s people are technology guardians working for the common good and a smoother Finland. They support nearly four million citizens, including through life-supporting hospital equipment and hospital ICT environments, as well as ICT environments for schools. Their multidisciplinary team is characterised by expertise, specialist knowledge and a strong can-do spirit. Would you like to build customer success and an excellent customer experience? We are looking for a Customer-Specific Development Manager for our Western Finland customer account. In this role, you will lead the development of collaboration between Istekki and one of Finland’s most significant wellbeing services county customers. You will identify the customer’s most important development needs, build a shared direction and ensure agreed development measures progress into results visible to the customer. You can look beyond the customer’s current situation and identify how services, technology, data and collaboration can create more value. Customer understanding, leading collaboration and long-term development are at the heart of your work. Although the role carries considerable responsibility, you will not work alone: you will be part of a close network with customer-specific development managers, key account managers, account managers, business units and experts. You will help people and organisations succeed even when you have no formal decision-making authority. You can influence how wellbeing services counties, digitalisation and customer experience are developed in the future. Your key responsibilities Your main responsibility is to lead long-term customer-specific planning and develop collaboration, making related objectives and development needs visible, prioritised and actionable together with Istekki’s business units. You lead long-term planning by identifying the customer’s most significant development needs and opportunities, prioritising development initiatives with the customer and Istekki experts, and ensuring agreed measures progress systematically. You develop collaboration and customer experience by building a shared view between the customer, account team and business units; using customer feedback, customer satisfaction information, complaints, and identified risks and opportunities in development work; and strengthening collaboration among the customer, experts and different business units. You identify new opportunities by helping the customer use data, artificial intelligence, automation and digital solutions to develop its operations; identifying new service, development and collaboration opportunities; sharing observations and lessons that can also be used in other customer accounts; and evaluating the benefits, impacts and value created for the customer. Who will succeed in this role? This role suits you if you are more of a developer than a maintainer. You gain energy from solving customer challenges, developing operating models and bringing different people together around a shared goal. You can structure broad topics, build collaboration and move things forward. Rather than waiting for ready-made answers, you investigate matters, identify alternatives and actively make well-founded proposals even when no established solution or operating model exists. You can form your own reasoned view, consider matters from different perspectives and constructively challenge current practices. You want to understand the customer’s operations in depth and are genuinely interested in its goals, challenges and changes in its operating environment. You actively seek new information and are interested in new technologies, operating models and developments in social and healthcare. You can apply what you learn to practical customer and development work. In particular, we hope you have experience in demanding development, customer or stakeholder work, and education suitable for the role; the ability to lead change and development without formal decision-making authority; skill in building trusted relationships at different organisational levels; a strong ability to structure, prioritise and put matters into practice; an understanding of how data, artificial intelligence and digital solutions can support customer goals; and the ability to work in social and healthcare, wellbeing services counties or another demanding public-administration environment, especially in digital development. It is important that you can combine customer needs, business objectives and practical implementation into a workable whole. Further information Start: By agreement. Location: The primary operating area is the Tampere region. We hope the successful candidate will live in the area or be able to work there regularly. Flexible remote-work opportunities support everyday work. Salary The salary of the successful candidate will be €4,400–€5,500 per month, based on skills and experience. The role is covered by the KT enterprise-sector collective agreement, which provides public-sector employment benefits, including a shorter regular working week of 36.25 hours, allowing more time for recovery and work-life balance, and generous annual leave of up to 38 weekdays per year. Why choose us? The role offers a vantage point into the operations, development needs and collaboration networks of a major wellbeing services county customer. You will build useful development initiatives for the customer, learn new things and influence the evolution of operating practices. You will have the support of a skilled team and a broad expert network, as well as room for independent thinking, reasoned proposals and determined follow-through. We invest strongly in staff development and training and supportive supervision. You will work with established partners and leading experts in interesting customer environments and projects. We value work-life balance and offer comprehensive employee benefits. Read more in the Career Stories section of our website. A warm welcome to Istekki!
