About the role

Your duties will primarily involve tasks according to the Military Injuries Act. Your clients will include war invalids, as well as those who were injured or fell ill as conscripts or peacekeepers before 1991, and their relatives. Additionally, you will collaborate with wellbeing services counties, service providers, and other contract partners. Over time, your role may expand to include other tasks within the Compensation Department and group. You will be independently responsible for processing damage claims up to the final decision, according to the agreed division of labor. Customer service is conducted through multiple channels, and you will interact personally with customers and stakeholders via telephone and email. The work is primarily independent expert work, carried out with a customer-centric approach in cooperation with your own team and other partners. The compensation specialist is responsible for the smooth management of their own work and self-leadership to ensure that set goals are met both qualitatively and quantitatively. To succeed in the role, it is important that the compensation specialist is active in developing their own professional skills and understands the need for process renewal in a digitizing operating environment. The goal of our work is to provide our customers with high-quality service combined with an excellent customer experience. The State Treasury's field of operation is broad, and we employ professionals from many different fields. We use modern tools in our multi-space office in Helsinki, and daily work is performed in a dynamically evolving and encouraging atmosphere. Partial remote work is possible for the majority of job tasks.
