Job Description
We are seeking school assistants (2) for Muijala and Lehmijärvi schools from August 10, 2026, to June 4, 2027. The working hours are 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. At Muijala School, your role as a school assistant will focus on first grade. At Lehmijärvi School, your role will involve supporting a class of students in grades 1-3. You will work closely with the class teacher, special education teacher, and other staff daily. Your tasks will include: Guiding and supporting students during lessons, Assisting students during transitions, free time, and breaks, Other shared tasks at the school (recycling, maintaining sports equipment, and possibly art and craft supplies). Muijala School has approximately 130 students in grades 1-6 in Lohja. The teaching staff consists of 14 members. Lehmijärvi School is a grades 1-6 school in Lohja with about 50 students. The school's values are based on community, responsibility, and fairness. You will receive orientation for your tasks. School assistants meet regularly and collaborate closely with other staff. Additional experience-based pay, up to 8%, may be paid if applicable. The position includes a trial period of half the employment duration. The employer will determine situations requiring a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy, Lohja branch, within one month of starting employment.
