System Specialist, automation systems – Building the reliability of Northern Finland's industry Are you an experienced automation systems expert or an industrial IT environment professional who understands critical production systems? Do you want to work close to customers, solve their production-critical challenges and develop your own expertise with leading technologies in the field? In this role you will participate in the maintenance, development and commissioning of Valmet DNA/DNAe automation systems as part of our Customer Service team. You will work closely with customers and see the impact of your work on their production reliability, availability and efficiency. Your work location can be in Oulu or Kemijarvi, and you will be responsible together with the team for the automation systems services of northern Finland's pulp, paper, energy, metal and other process industries. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your expertise with leading automation solutions and take responsibility for challenging customer and project entities. Responsibilities - Participate in the maintenance, development and lifecycle services of automation systems in customer environments. - Deliver contracted services and contribute to upgrades, modernization and expansion projects as part of project teams. - Design and implement system changes and startups with customers and the project organization. - Ensure performance, availability and reliable operation of automation systems. - Identify customer development needs and participate in solution design. - Provide sales support and collaborate closely with customers, experts and the project organization. Requirements - Suitable technical education (e.g., automation, electrical or information technology). - Experience with maintenance and development of automation systems (DCS). - Familiarity with server environments software and hardware installations. - Knowledge of network switches, routers and industrial networks. - Understanding of OT cybersecurity. - Independent and responsible work attitude and good organizational and collaboration skills. - Proficient Finnish language and adequate English. - Driving license and willingness to travel in northern Finland. Nice to have - Knowledge of Valmet DNA or DNAe automation systems. - Experience from pulp, paper, energy, metal or other process industries. - Experience with startup, upgrades or modernization of automation systems. - Knowledge of virtualization environments, server infrastructure or telecommunications networks.
