The job is a temporary position for a preschool teacher for a group of 3–5 year olds at Aurinkokiven Daycare, located in Vantaa. The teacher is responsible for building the group’s culture and learning environment, planning and implementing pedagogical activities, and developing and evaluating them in collaboration with other staff in accordance with the Vantaa early childhood education plan and the unit’s action plan. We value good teamwork and interaction skills, as well as the ability to acknowledge each child’s individual needs. The role involves multi-professional collaboration, a warm approach to interactions with children and parents, and contributing to a learning atmosphere. The unit uses the ProVaka model to support children’s social skills, and the successful candidate commits to the model’s principles with the rest of the staff. There are clear leadership structures and opportunities to participate in the unit’s management team. We also have an inclusive support teacher to assist with child-support matters. The position is located at Aurinkokiven Daycare in Kivistö, with five groups, open activity space, and nearby outdoor opportunities. Salary: 3129.46–3234.53 EUR/month with possible increases for further qualifications and experience. The role requires good written and spoken Finnish.
