Shop Sales Assistant

IKASET Oy is a Finnish family business established in 2017, offering inspection and maintenance services related to fire safety in Pirkanmaa, Kanta‑Häme, Central Finland, Savo and Uusimaa. The company currently employs about 20 industry professionals. The IKASET team now has an opening for a customer‑service oriented salesperson / extinguisher technician in Hämeenlinna. Job description: We are looking for a salesperson / extinguisher technician for the Hämeenlinna store, in a permanent full‑time position. The work is daytime on weekdays 8:00–16:00, and the weekly schedule is 37.5 hours. The employment relationship is with Henkilöstöliiga and after a 6‑month trial period there is a possibility to transfer to IKASET’s own books. The role combines customer service, sales and extinguisher maintenance tasks. Daily duties include serving customers in the store (sales and exchanges of gas cylinders and fire safety products) and maintenance and inspection of extinguishers. The job uses a cash register system and a computer. Work is mostly done alone. We expect from applicants: ability to adhere to agreements and schedules; fluent Finnish; basic computer skills; willingness to customer service work; willingness to learn cash system operation and extinguisher maintenance tasks. Nice to have: experience with tools; knowledge of fire safety products; work safety card (arranged if needed). We offer a permanent position in a diverse role combining customer service, sales and practical maintenance tasks. You will receive thorough onboarding, so previous experience in a similar role is not required. You will work in an autonomous role where your own initiative and attitude decide. Pay and terms of employment are based on the chemistry industry collective agreement.
