We are seeking a dental hygienist for YTHS's Lahti service point on a fixed-term basis from October 1 to September 30, 2027. The position is part-time (week ~23 hours 9 minutes). In student healthcare we provide oral health services to students, from prevention to examination and treatment. Our goal is to support students’ oral health and self-care and, where possible, reduce dental fear. As a dental hygienist you will be responsible for health guidance and reception visits, including assessment of treatment needs and drafting a personal self-care plan. Your duties also include prevention and treatment of caries and gum diseases and imaging studies ordered by a dentist. If necessary, the role may include duties of a dental assistant, instrument maintenance, and work in assessing treatment needs. We use the patient record systems Acute and Winhit. Our digital service platform is BeeHealth’s YTHSDigi. Why work with us? We offer a versatile and interesting role in student health care, a yearly working time model that provides flexibility, regular training to maintain and develop your competence, and wellbeing benefits such as an ePassi perk and wellness events at service points. Our occupational health services are extensive and our client group is friendly and engaged in their care. We expect applicants to have a legally recognised dental hygienist qualification in Finland; advantages include work experience in the field, acting as a dental assistant, equipment maintenance, and sufficiently good Finnish plus English/Swedish. We value good teamwork and communication skills and require infectious disease vaccination as per the Communicable Diseases Act. At YTHS we are committed to promoting diversity and equality and encourage all qualified applicants to apply. For pay and terms we follow the YTHS collective agreement and, where not stated, the Health Care Sector collective agreement. The job-specific salary is formed from the base pay according to the difficulty level and possible special factors. In addition we pay personal pay components including an annual guaranteed portion of up to 11% of the job-specific pay. In a full-time (38h 35min/week) dental hygienist position (VR4), the salary is 2841–3154 euros per month, depending on competence and experience. Our working hours are mainly 7:00–16:00, with occasional shifts until 18:00. If you have questions, please contact Service Manager Kirsi Hotta at 041 730 7798 or kirsi.hotta(at)yths.fi.
