We are looking for instructors for the Kotimäki residential unit for people with intellectual disabilities who need strong special support! Working with residents with intellectual disabilities is about genuine encounters, easing everyday life, comforting, and bringing joy to others – every day is different. Every employee of ours is a well-being influencer and a grower of life value. Kotimäki is a wonderful new log building divided into four home groups. The design of the home was based on the special needs of the residents. Kotimäki is a safe home for residents and a good place for staff to work. The first residents moved into Kotimäki in April 2026. Residents at Humana Kotimäki receive the best possible support and are able to live life on their own terms and spend a communal and active everyday life. Kotimäki is a special support unit where all residents are considered as individuals with their unique characteristics. What kind of work awaits you? Kotimäki is filling up quickly with residents, so it is time to increase staff again. We are looking for new instructors for permanent employment as well as short-term substitutions. The work is three-shift work. In shift planning, we take into account the needs of all employees and tailor the workday individually to the best of our ability. The instructor's job includes caring for, supporting, and guiding the residents' smooth and colorful everyday life. Workdays also include developing the everyday routine to be personal and serve each resident. The goal of the entire work group is to create a good-natured everyday life in our cozy unit, where especially in the beginning, everyday structures define the rhythm of work – without forgetting creativity. Kotimäki is a strong support unit where the residents' special characteristics require strong autism expertise and/or experience. Residents are always considered as individuals. Our residents have significant challenges in communication and executive function, which is why experience with various communication aids as well as understanding and expertise in demanding customer situations and neuropsychiatric expertise are considered an advantage. The basic salary for full-time work is 2415.76-2612.33 euros/month. From 1.9.2026: 2493.06-2719.93. A task-specific salary supplement for the demanding nature of the work is paid: 151.50 euros/month (increases with the general raise on 1.9.2026). What kind of colleague are we looking for? - Practical nurse degree (lähihoitaja). - Experience working with special groups and neuropsychiatric expertise are valued. Students are also welcome to apply. - Hygiene passport and skhole or LOVe medication training. - Ability and courage for independent decisions and readiness for three-shift work. - Customer-oriented and present approach, good interaction skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude. - Must present a criminal record extract as required by Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act for those working with disabled persons. - Must have a social and healthcare professional card (Sote-kortti) by the start of employment.
