Software Engineer

Glean is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the future of AI Agents at work. In this role you will work across product, AI, and platform to help users build, evaluate, self-improve, deploy, and operate powerful agents inside Glean. This is a cross-functional role for engineers who enjoy owning user-facing product experiences end to end while staying close to the underlying systems that make those experiences work. You will help shape how users create agents, how those agents run in auto-mode or independently, how they are evaluated and improved over time, and how we make them reliable, safe, and easy to deploy at scale. You will build end-to-end product experiences that help users create and configure AI agents for real work, design workflows to evaluate agent quality and understand failure modes, and build product loops that improve agents through feedback, evals, optimization, and self-improvement primitives. You will enable users to deploy both auto-mode and autonomous agents with proper guardrails, controls, and visibility, and collaborate across frontend, backend, prompting, harness behavior, infrastructure, and product systems to turn agent capabilities into polished experiences. The role offers opportunities to work on challenging AI product problems such as intuitive agent-authoring experiences, robust eval/feedback loops, and scalable deployment patterns. About you: BA/BS in computer science or related field; minimum 6+ years of experience building product software; strong coding skills in Go, Python, Java, or Typescript; experience with AI/agentic workflow or developer-product experiences is a plus; strong product sense and comfort across user-facing experiences and backend systems; leadership experience is a bonus.
