Facilities Services is responsible for the broad scope of facilities management, premises projects and construction management. It is responsible for the premises and agreements portfolio of approximately 450 social and healthcare and rescue services properties. We are responsible for lease agreements, residential leasing, needs assessments, and the preparation and advocacy of new premises projects. As Facilities Project Development Manager, you ensure that premises projects in accordance with the premises programme progress in line with the programme, strategic policies and the wellbeing services county’s objectives. The role combines unit leadership, project development and strategic work. The role emphasises investment planning, leading the competitive tendering of lease projects, customer relationship management and cooperation with key partners. It also includes advancing property development projects in the region. In the future, the role may also include preparation and implementation related to property transactions. You will serve as a member of the Facilities Services management team. You will lead the Premises Planning Unit, which is responsible for the early-stage preparation of projects, needs assessments, project development and competitive tendering of lease projects. The duties also include planning statements and the authority related to those statements. We expect you to have a suitable master’s-level higher education degree and strong, varied experience in the property sector, preparation of premises projects, lease projects and project management. We particularly value contract expertise, negotiation skills and the ability to manage broad entities involving several parties and schedules. Investment and financial understanding is essential for success in the role. Experience with social and healthcare properties, public-sector premises projects, management-team work and supervisory work is considered an advantage. You will succeed in the role if you are proactive, collaborative and development-oriented. You need strong overall management skills, good interaction and negotiation skills, and the ability to advance several projects, contract processes and stakeholder cooperation simultaneously in a changing operating environment. The wellbeing services county’s offices are in Otaniemi, Espoo, near Aalto University metro station, at Tekniikantie 15, 02150 Espoo. The role also includes site visits around the wellbeing services county, through which you will get to know the area’s premises. Working time: 36.25 hours per week.
