Infrastructure Security Engineer

Role overview: We are seeking a Senior/Staff Infrastructure Security Engineer to secure Nebius cloud and on-premises infrastructure by implementing security controls, monitoring threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud security, Linux hardening, and network security. Responsibilities include designing and implementing security measures for cloud and on‑premises infrastructure, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in cloud environments, networks, and operating systems, building and maintaining security tools, performing security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments, developing security guidelines for Network and SRE teams, collaborating to integrate security best practices, staying updated on threats, and serving as a subject matter expert to other teams. Requirements include 6+ years in network, infrastructure or cloud security; strong understanding of modern cloud architectures (VMs, containers, serverless, Kubernetes); knowledge of networks, distributed systems and Linux; hands-on experience with network, VPN, and Linux security; IAM systems; security automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Go); Terraform; Linux hardening (apparmor, seccomp); Kubernetes hardening. Bonus points for AWS/GCP/Azure proficiency, threat-modeling experience, Identity Aware Proxies or Bastion host experience, and security certifications like OSCP or CKS. We conduct coding interviews.
