Production Manager

Kährs Finland Oy is part of the Kährs Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wood and parquet flooring as well as PVC- and plasticiser-free resilient floor coverings. Kährs Group products are sold in more than 70 countries. We are the market leader in wood flooring in Finland and Sweden, and have a strong position in other key markets in Europe and North America. The Group has five of its own production facilities, one of which is in Ikaalinen, Finland. We are seeking an experienced, development-oriented Production Manager for Kährs Finland Oy’s Ikaalinen factory, which manufactures plastic floor coverings. The permanent role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, efficiency and continuous improvement of production. Production operates in three shifts. About the role You will lead production as a whole in a responsible and people-oriented way, ensuring that operations are safe, high-quality and cost-effective, and that agreed delivery schedules are met. You will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, procurement, planning and other stakeholders. In addition to organising daily work and ensuring production runs smoothly, you will develop production processes and the organisation’s ways of working. You will monitor key production performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to investment and efficiency projects. You will report directly to the Factory Manager. What we expect from you You have a technical education, such as a Master of Science in Technology, an engineering degree or equivalent, and previous experience in production supervisory or management roles. You are motivated to grow along with the role. You are analytical and people-oriented, and can lead change purposefully while treating people with respect. Experience with Lean methods and industrial development and investment projects is an advantage. You will work as part of an international group, so you need to speak and write Finnish and English fluently.
