Farm Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a practical and proactive repair and maintenance worker for a farm environment. You will work on a milking and beef cattle farm where tasks are varied and change according to daily needs. The person we are looking for has practical skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to independently take on various maintenance and repair tasks. Note: ability to understand safety instructions and basic job duties in Finnish is required. Your duties may include maintenance of farm buildings and facilities, repair and maintenance of equipment and barn structures (including welding), diagnosing faults in machines and equipment, ordering spare parts, replacing broken components, operating various types of machinery, daily maintenance tasks, keeping spaces tidy and performing other farm-related tasks. The role is hands-on and versatile, requiring an independent approach, problem-solving skills and willingness to do different tasks as needed on the farm. What we expect from you: prior experience with various repair, maintenance and upkeep tasks is essential; welding skills and experience with farm machinery maintenance and repair are a plus. Above all, we value a positive attitude, practical know-how and initiative. You should be able to take on tasks and figure out how to get them done. Work location and hours: the workplace is in Kurikan Polvenkylä. We offer full-time employment with hours mainly in the morning and day, though the role may involve occasional evenings and weekend work depending on farm needs. Employment type is permanent with the aim of long-term employment. A cooperative and reliable attitude and commitment to agreed tasks are important. If the cooperation works well, there is a long-term position. Start date is as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
