Spanish-English Bilingual Interpreter

TransPerfect Connect Interpreters play an irreplaceable role in our global mission to enable communication across languages. We are seeking Spanish bilinguals at all levels with demonstrated experience using their bilingual skills in a professional setting. The role trains you to start as an Over the Phone Interpreter, with the goal of delivering accurate consecutive interpretations for end clients (e.g., helping a patient communicate with a doctor or assisting a family with a bank loan). The program includes four weeks of remote/online training with a dedicated trainer to teach interpretation and listening skills as well as industry-specific terminology. After training, interpreters are expected to maintain excellent customer service, communicate clearly, and adhere to work requirements. Successful interpreters may learn new subject matter, take on more challenging call types, and advance within the company. Qualifications include Advanced English Proficiency, Dominican ID, High School Diploma, 1+ year contact center experience, reliable internet (25 Mbps min), electricity contract with last invoice, power inverter or UPS, and a quiet workspace/home office within city limits (Gran Santo Domingo).
