We are seeking a permanent service home caretaker in Ilmajoki for a new elderly assessment and rehabilitation unit starting in September. The role combines service home caretaker duties with cleaning work supervision. About half of the work involves service home caretaker tasks and about half supervising cleaning work in elderly residential units. You will help ensure smooth daily operations, performing cleaning, food service, and laundry tasks, and other supportive duties. You will participate in creating a homely, safe, active and meaningful everyday life for residents in a 27-bed unit, focusing on supporting and strengthening elderly residents’ functional capacity and well-being. In the cleaning supervision portion you will coach and guide cleaning staff, provide orientation and develop working practices. There are about 130 cleaning staff in the other units. The role does not include supervisory responsibilities over others. We value motivated, energetic, development‑minded and positive work attitude, flexibility, ability to work independently, responsibility, good collaboration and communication skills, and computer skills. The work is shift-based. A vocational qualification in the cleaning and facilities service sector (Facilities Maintenance Worker or Institutional Cleaner) or proven practical experience is required. An advantage is cleaning supervision training and experience. Terms and wages follow the current Social and Health Care contract, base pay at start 2629.06 €/month. Probation period applies. A criminal background check is required before starting. A health certificate and drug test may be requested. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases per law and a note on TB and salmonella health status and a hygiene passport. Good Finnish language skills are required.
