Lawyer

The Metsähallitus Legal and Compliance unit seeks a permanent Lawyer to join our office in Helsinki. The main responsibilities include contract work and public procurement, with involvement in development of related processes and risk management. You will represent the organisation in administrative and court matters when necessary and contribute to ongoing improvements in contracting, procurement, compliance and governance. The role emphasizes communication and networking, and you will work across functions to support our statutory duties and public responsibilities. The position offers a meaningful, societally important tasks and opportunities for professional growth within a multidisciplinary team, with a flexible, multi-location working model combining remote and on-site work. What we expect: suitable legal education (OTM/OTK) with at least five years of relevant experience, strong Finnish and English skills (Swedish is an asset), clear written and oral communication, customer-oriented mindset, and an independent, solution-focused attitude.
