Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher for Maittorpan Daycare in Vantaa to join our team on a permanent basis starting 1 September 2026 or per agreement. The daycare serves four groups and is located in the Maittorpan residential area. We actively utilize nearby playgrounds and regularly undertake forest trips. Our facilities enable strong small-group activities in line with the Early Childhood Education curriculum. We are part of the ProVaka program, which emphasizes positive feedback and inclusive practices to support social skills and consistent guidance methods. The role includes collaboration with two specialized teachers who assist with child support issues and work with groups according to their schedules. We also have a development senior and a dedicated development liaison for families. Your colleagues will support you as a team, and we strive to create a positive, relaxed, and professional work environment. The work schedule includes one Sak-day per rotation and one shared Sak time weekly for all teachers. Qualifications include an interest in positive group work with early childhood education (ProVaka) and the ability to integrate multilingual and multicultural environments, active play, and communication through pictures. Responsibilities include leading your own team, supporting team functionality and children’s growth and well-being, and contributing to a constructive and inclusive work culture. An additional 15 EUR per month is paid for those meeting the teaching qualification, and 37.88 EUR per month for holders of a Diploma in Educational Sciences.
