Mikkelin kaupungin kunnallinen liikelaitos Otavia is hiring a part-time (60%) guidance counselor for adult secondary education in a fixed-term contract from 6 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. The position is placed at Nettilukio, an online adult high school with about a thousand students who study remotely and come from diverse life situations. Nettilukio enables individualized study paths, and we support students in achieving their goals through close collaboration across professions. The role focuses on group guidance and supporting students in their studies as well as monitoring progress. The job suits you if you are student-oriented, collaborative, responsible, proactive, and able to handle unexpected situations. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in guiding lukio-opintoja is considered advantageous. The position requires knowledge of the lukion opetussuunnitelman perusteiden and ylioppilastutkinnon structure. The job can be performed remotely with a requirement to attend on-site at Otavia’s campus in Otava if necessary.
