Manufacturing Engineer

Memar Oy is a contract manufacturer in the metal industry. We specialise in contract manufacturing, maintenance components and fasteners, and component production. Our four units are in Virrat, Toijala, Seinäjoki and Pirkkala, each focusing on their own operations: Pirkkala and Toijala concentrate on forging and heat treatment, the machine shop is in Seinäjoki and screws are produced in Virrat. We are recruiting a permanent Manufacturing Planning Engineer to support Memar’s growth. As Manufacturing Planning Engineer you will be responsible for scheduling production tasks, workload management and work order planning in the Monitor ERP system. You will ensure that work proceeds in production in the correct order and that changes can be responded to smoothly. The role involves close cooperation with production supervisors. On a daily basis you will monitor production status, discuss with foremen and implement practical solutions to ensure smooth production. This is a new role where you can shape the way production planning operates and how the ERP system is used in Memar’s growing production environment. The position is permanent with a flexible start. What we look for: an organized person who can see the bigger picture and drive things forward in practice. The role requires the ability to plan, prioritize and align changing production situations. We value experience in production planning in a machine workshop. An engineering degree, supervisory experience and machining capability are advantageous, but the most important is practical understanding of production daily life. ERP-system experience is not required, but being comfortable with using and learning systems is essential. You are collaborative and proactive, comfortable with both systems and people. We expect fluent Finnish and good English.
