Snow-clearing Worker

We are currently seeking a MACHINE-OPERATED ESTATE CARETAKER for the winter season in Kajaani. In this role you will be responsible for plowing snow from yards, roads and other areas, and for moving snow with machine assistance. We use Wille and Volvo L60 machines for exterior maintenance. In addition to driving, your duties include other property maintenance tasks, such as light repairs, waste collection and flagging. Your work sites are in Kajaani and nearby areas. Working hours are determined by snow conditions; early morning starts are common, otherwise work typically runs from 6:00 to 18:00 (25–37.5 hours per week). On-call shifts are also included. This temporary position lasts for the winter season, starting as agreed, no later than 2 November 2026, and ending 30 April 2027. The salary is at least the pay grade 4 of the Kiinteistöpalvelualan Collective Agreement (13.88 €/hour) plus possible shift allowances based on actual hours worked and any education-based allowances depending on completed qualifications. The position may also include a personal increase based on competence. What we expect from you: prior experience with machine work and operating the exterior maintenance machinery; industry training is a plus. A B-class driving licence enabling manual transmission and access to a personal car is required. Proficiency in Finnish, valid safety training card, precise and proactive work attitude and problem-solving ability, excellent customer service mindset to coordinate work with the customer and your team, and a clean background; security clearance under act 726/2014 is required for the position.
