Kotikarpalo is a 32-bed unit providing around-the-clock elderly care in a communal living setting. The unit comprises three group homes with nine residents each, plus five apartments for residents in the communal housing within the same building. As a healthcare assistant, you work as part of a multidisciplinary, skilled team that includes the unit supervisor, the head nurse, a nurse, other healthcare assistants, home care staff, and care aides. Together you create a safe, meaningful and individualized daily life for residents. You will be responsible for residents’ daily care and well-being, administration of medications, and supporting their functional capacity, participation and well-being through rehabilitative practice. You enable cultural and recreational activities for residents and collaborate with relatives and other parties involved in care. You participate in planning, assessment, documentation and reporting of care work. After orientation you may also serve as shift lead. The work is three-shift and covers both the elderly-housing unit and communal housing.

- High school diploma or equivalent in social and health care (lähihoitaja) and valid registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki
- RAI proficiency
- valid LOVe medication license
- Finnish language proficiency
