About the role

Join our cheerful and professional team at Hattula-Kalvola home care! We are looking for two skilled and customer-oriented healthcare assistants for a permanent contract in Hattula-Kalvolan kotihoito. Work will mainly be in the Hattula and Kalvola areas, but duties may be moved to other home care units within the Kanta-Häme welfare region as needed. You can be an experienced professional or a newly graduated healthcare assistant, as we offer thorough orientation and support for your professional development at every stage of your career. Home care is versatile, responsible, and mobile. Tasks include customer-centred and rehabilitative care performed at the client's home, basic care, and nursing duties. Examples include medication administration and monitoring, health promotion, nutrition and personal hygiene, and rehabilitation aimed at maintaining the client's functional capacity. The goal is to support the client’s everyday life, functioning, and safe home independence. Our days are varied, and each day brings new situations. The role suits someone who enjoys varied tasks, has good organizational skills, and can stay calm in changing situations. What matters most to us is respectful interaction with clients and a commitment to high-quality, customer-oriented work with a large heart. We hope you have an interest in working with older people, good collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and responsibly. Experience in home care or elderly care is an advantage. We value customer-focused work, reliability, and the desire to develop your own expertise. You will work as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team with opportunities to participate in developing work and operations. We offer you comprehensive orientation, a professionally developing and diverse set of tasks, and good opportunities for further training. The job is full-time and consists of two shifts per day. Interviews will be held on 16.9.2026. Eligibility requires a suitable qualification under the Social Welfare and Health Care Professionals Act 272/2005 § 8. Participation in medication administration requires a current LOVe license, which can be updated/completed within three months of starting employment. A driving license and own car are essential for work performance. The wage for the position is 2813.24 €/month. In addition, we pay a experience-based top-up, which may be 3%–8%. Annual leave accrues based on service time. Working hours are 38.15 hours per week. Applications must be received by the closing date through the Kuntarekry system. For working with older people, a criminal background check is required under the Act on The Protection of Health and Welfare 741/2023 §28.1 and §6.4. Wages and other terms are determined by the SOTE collective agreement. Trial period is six months. In-house vaccination requirements apply as per the Infectious Diseases Act §48 and tuberculosis screening as per §55. Oma Häme supports scientific research by granting paid leave for pursuing a doctoral degree, master’s thesis, or other scientific research.
