The Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Operations Technician to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within a mission-critical data center environment in Lappeenranta, Finland. The successful candidate will have a strong electrical background and experience working with power distribution systems, industrial maintenance, or critical facilities operations. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and safety of data center electrical and mechanical systems while supporting 24/7 operations. Key Responsibilities: Operational roles including maintaining UPS, switchgear, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, batteries, PDUs; monitoring via BMS/EPMS; performing preventive and corrective maintenance; diagnosing failures; coordinating with vendors; safety procedures. Qualifications: Vocational qualification, diploma, or degree in Electrical Engineering / Industrial Maintenance / Automation Technology / Power Systems; experience with electrical infrastructure; reading schematics; strong English. Preferred: data center experience; SFS 6002; HV knowledge; CMMS/BMS/EPMS; Finnish language is an advantage. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain electrical systems (UPS, switchgear, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, battery systems, PDUs)
- Monitor facility systems via BMS/EPMS
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Diagnose equipment failures and alarms
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors
- Maintain safety procedures (LOTO)
- Support 24/7 shift operations
- Assist with commissioning and testing of new equipment
