Tallink Silja AB is looking for motivated and experienced deckhands for onboard service on our Swedish-flagged vessels Silja Symphony and Galaxy. The position involves working in the deck department as part of a team responsible for daily maintenance, loading/unloading, cleanliness and watchkeeping on the bridge. You will report directly to the boatswain/Chief Officer. Tasks include handling loading/unloading, assisting with berthing, participating in safety drills and performing fire and safety rounds, maintenance work, watch duties, and following procedures per the company manuals. The role includes both day and watch work, and tasks may be distributed across vacancies onboard according to schedule. Requirements include valid deckhand license per STCW Manila and seafaring experience as a deckhand, being responsible and proactive, understanding safety regulations and your role in the onboard safety organization, high safety mindset, attentiveness, service-mindedness, problem-solving, stress tolerance and humility, strong teamwork and communication in Swedish and English.
