About the role

A psychologist is sought to join the multidisciplinary team in the Forensic Psychology Unit for children and adolescents to assist police, prosecutors and the court in investigating crimes involving children. Duties include planning and conducting child interviews, preparing expert reports in collaboration with the team, providing psychosocial support to families, and close multidisciplinary cooperation across Southern Finland. The unit offers a supportive development-oriented team, paid training days, regular opportunities for remote work, and the chance to grow into a specialist role in a central location in Helsinki’s Roihuvuori area. The psychologist works as part of a multidisciplinary team, prepares expert opinions as required, and participates as a witness in legal proceedings when invited. Collaboration with authorities and with the educational and early childhood sectors is emphasised, as is training and consultancy work. The unit collaborates with universities and is part of the national network of child and adolescent forensic psychology and psychiatry units, as well as the international Barnahus network.
