About the role

ICT Specialist wanted to advance artificial intelligence development in Helsinki's social services, health care and rescue services. The role sits in the Information Management and IT Services subunit Digikehittäminen, which focuses on practical development and adoption of digital solutions in collaboration with service operations. The incumbent will promote AI development for the sector and actively identify and advance AI solutions for social, health and rescue services, developing applications through experimentation and guiding the most promising solutions toward practical implementation. You will assess the practical requirements of AI deployments, identify risks and constraints, and drive solutions forward with other experts. You will work closely with other unit staff and a broad expert network, sharing knowledge openly, and will act as a bridge between ICT experts, system suppliers and service operations representatives. The team comprises enthusiastic and capable specialists; the role offers diverse work, opportunities to develop processes, to grow personally, and to contribute value to the organisation. We also provide strong training and development opportunities and comprehensive employee benefits, with a hybrid working culture and modern tools. Requirements include a suitable university degree, a strong interest in AI, machine learning and generative AI, the ability to identify and promote AI solutions for social and health care and rescue services, willingness to experiment with new solutions and drive promising solutions toward deployment, the ability to understand whole systems and describe them technically and functionally, and excellent Finnish and good English language skills.
