kW-set Oy specialises in backup power systems and works with major European manufacturers. It imports, among other products, Cummins backup power equipment and diesel generators. Its product range includes industrial diesel generators, and larger capacities can be achieved with parallel units. Its extensive supplier network helps it provide cost-effective, reliable power for customers’ systems. The company’s turnover in 2025 was EUR 52 million. Would you like to work in a varied customer-facing role combining customer service, project coordination and technical expertise? We are looking for a Backup Power Rental Specialist to manage the rental process smoothly from the first customer contact through equipment return and invoicing. You will be the customer’s trusted partner and an internal expert, ensuring that each rental solution is delivered with quality, on schedule and according to customer needs. Typical rental equipment includes temporary backup generators during customers’ transformer maintenance, load banks for testing customers’ equipment, and cooling equipment for temporary needs. Your daily work: Customers and customer service - Respond to rental customers’ enquiries and act as their primary contact throughout the rental process. - Identify customer needs and establish technical requirements, including purpose, load profile, power, current, operating time and conditions, and responsibility boundaries. - Plan suitable rental solutions with technical experts. - Prepare quotations and discuss commercial terms with customers. - Process sales orders and manage the rental process in the ERP system. Delivery and coordination - Ensure equipment availability, reservations and accurate preparation dates. - Coordinate deliveries, returns and cooperation between stakeholders. - Arrange required transport, lifting, installation and commissioning, and, when needed, fuel services, monitoring, on-call support and subcontracted rental equipment. - Ensure rentals proceed smoothly when circumstances change. Monitoring and reporting - Keep customers and other stakeholders updated on project progress. - Ensure maintenance and technical support during rentals. - Handle equipment dispatch and return information and monitor fuel consumption. - Ensure accurate, timely invoicing for rentals, freight, services, fuel and any damage. To succeed, you should have a technical background and want to work with customers. Your experience may come from electrical, automation or energy engineering, and you should understand how technical solutions work in practical environments. An engineer, technician or electrician background is suitable; practical experience and ability to learn are especially valued. Experience in electrical contracting, installation and maintenance, project work or construction-site environments provides a good foundation. You understand site practices, safety requirements and the importance of project schedules, can communicate with contractors, installers and technical experts, and understand customers’ day-to-day work. Customer service and a customer-oriented approach are also important. You can identify customer needs, suggest appropriate solutions and guide discussions towards a sale. You build trust through active communication, keep customers informed and ensure agreed actions progress as planned. Rental-business experience is an advantage but is not essential. You have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and can manage several simultaneous tasks in a changing environment. You work systematically and ensure customer information, contacts and actions are documented. Your work base is in Tuusula, with regular visits to customers across Finland. Why kW-set? You will work with varied energy and backup power solutions and solve customers’ practical challenges in different settings. You will receive thorough induction and support from an experienced team. Experience with all products or in rental business is not required, as training will be provided. Your workplace is in Tuusula, where you will work on-site as part of a close-knit, knowledgeable team. The compensation model consists of a fixed monthly salary, bonuses and a free company car benefit. Benefits include extensive occupational healthcare, medical-expense and accident insurance valid during leisure time, and travel insurance. Interested?
