Special Class Teacher

The City of Kuopio’s Education Services has a substitute position available for a special education class teacher in primary education from 7 January to 5 June 2027. The placement school is Riistavesi Comprehensive School. Job description: Duties of a special education class teacher in primary education, grades 1–6. Eligibility requirements: Eligibility as a special education class teacher in primary education under Decree 986/1998 on the qualification requirements for teaching personnel. Previous experience in teaching is appreciated. We value willingness to develop and learn, and require competence in diverse teaching and assessment methods. In addition, a role supplement of €15.34/month, a performance supplement of €30.78/month and a class supervisor TVA allowance of €99.80/month are paid. The teaching obligation for the position is 22 hours per week. If requested, the person selected must present a criminal record extract under Act 504/2002 on checking the criminal background of people working with children within 30 days of receiving notice of the selection decision.
