Job description

StaffPoint is recruiting a restaurant shift supervisor for the café at Ivalo Airport on a permanent basis. The airport is a busy and unique working environment where you can meet different customers and use your language skills every day. Your duties include ensuring the cleanliness of the café-restaurant and smooth customer service, as well as implementing campaigns, product displays and seasonal activities together with the team. You will work in the airport café-restaurant and souvenir shop according to flight schedules, starting early in the morning. You are the person we are looking for if you enjoy an international environment. Our customers appreciate friendly and prompt service. The work is busy and fast-paced, and every day is sure to be different. In addition to the practical work of a café server, your responsibilities include ensuring that the shift runs smoothly, placing orders, planning shifts in exceptional situations, storage and monthly stocktakes. Work begins once the Finavia staff-card process is complete, and no later than 3 January 2027. The work is full-time (112.5 hours/3 weeks). The employment contract is between the employee and StaffPoint. Lapland Hotels is a smoke-free workplace. We require previous work experience in the restaurant industry and in supervisory duties; the ability to manage the overall operation, teamwork skills and a firm supervisory approach; Finnish and English language skills (fluent Finnish is required for this position; other language skills are an advantage); a hygiene passport and an alcohol passport; a clean background (the selected candidate will undergo a limited security clearance); and a valid passport or photo ID. We offer a workplace where service, active selling, commitment, professional pride and joy are key. We offer permanent employment in an international working environment, staff benefits across Lapland Hotels, Lapland Safaris and Lapland Ski Resorts, and the opportunity to rotate to other Lapland Hotels locations. We can help you find accommodation. Pay is based on your experience and is at least in accordance with the Marava collective agreement. Please note that we process applications during the application period. The position will be filled when a suitable candidate is found. Please submit your application and CV directly through our recruitment system so we can process them as quickly as possible in compliance with data-protection regulations. For your application to proceed, we need a referee; remember to include the referee’s name, company and phone number in your application. For further information, contact recruitment consultant Susanna Kähkönen at susanna.kahkonen@staffpoint.fi or +358 444 204 284.
