Manufacturing Manager

A Finnish-language posting for a Manufacturing Manager at Jouka Oy (Mentek Advisor). The role leads the component manufacturing functions, including machining, welding, robot cells, and manual workstations, directing a team of about 10 people. The manager ensures smooth daily production, delivery reliability, efficient use of resources, and capacity management, with a strong operational focus. The position emphasizes developing manufacturing processes to be more systematic, scalable, and efficient, and includes daily production oversight, improving machine utilization, and enhancing production performance, quality, and lead times. The role involves developing machining methods, programming, setup times, and tool management to improve manufacturability and throughput, and participates in automation, robotics, and production technology development, as well as evaluating future investment needs. Relationships with contract manufacturers are developed to ensure production capacity can flexibly meet business needs. The candidate is expected to have practical experience in contract manufacturing environments, with knowledge of CNC machining, machining methods, manufacturability, production control, and capacity planning, and to understand technical drawings and 3D models. Lean and continuous improvement experience is valued. The candidate should be decisive, approachable, and collaborative, capable of engaging the team in change and combining operations leadership with technical know-how and continuous improvement.
