The City of Mikkeli's food and cleaning services are seeking a Service Supervisor for cleaning services at Saimaanportti comprehensive school for a permanent position starting August 17, 2026, or by agreement. The application period is July 27 to August 16, 2026. The cleaning service supervisor is responsible for the implementation of maintenance cleaning, scheduled work, and basic cleaning at the school together with service employees. Duties include, among others, ordering cleaning products, work planning and guidance, self-monitoring, quality, and customer service. Performing the duties requires strong expertise in the cleaning industry and a desire to develop the work. The position-specific basic salary is €2,492.81/month, plus possible work experience and personal supplements. Working hours are general working hours of 38.25 h/week, with daily working hours between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM. The position also includes working at other food and cleaning service sites as needed. The terms of employment are determined according to KVTES. Eligibility for the position is suitable vocational education and work experience in cleaning services. A hygiene passport is required. Good proficiency in the Finnish language, both oral and written, is required. Basic ICT skills are needed (e.g., email, Teams, Excel, and Word). Mikkeli's food and cleaning services provide services in daycares, schools, and various public spaces throughout the Mikkeli area. A total of 134 trained food and cleaning professionals serve our customers in different properties. Many of our employees are multi-skilled, mastering both professions.
