Responsibilities
- Own vendor relationships across cloud and SaaS: renewals, negotiations
- Run procurement governance with competitive bids and managed procurement partner
- Drive commercial VIA: spend visibility, licensing/usage analysis, right-sizing
- Build reporting dashboards and governance layers for spend
- Coordinate cloud efficiency program with engineering
- Maintain boundary on role; not a buying desk; ensure governance
Requirements
- 5+ years in vendor/commercial management, procurement, FinOps, or technical/financial analysis at a senior level
- Experience owning vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals
- Experience running procurement governance (competitive bids, benchmark analysis, thresholds)
- Strong judgment and ability to align without positional authority
- Experience building cost dashboards and reporting (SQL, BI tools)
- Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in async or globally distributed teams
- Motivation to build a function from the ground up
