Your mission: Steel is one of the oldest and largest industries in the world—and it’s still traded through calls and Excel spreadsheets. We’re changing that, and we’re looking for an experienced trader who will own the DACH market from day one. This is not an SDR job or a grind of cold calling. From day one you’ll take responsibility for your deals from start to finish: you’ll source them, negotiate on both sides, close them, and accompany them through the execution. You’ll run Europe’s largest steel market as your own book—remote, with real ownership and upside on every deal you close. If you know how steel trading works and a deal itself drives you, this is your place. What you’ll own You’ll build Vanilla Steel’s trading and brokerage business in the DACH region—it’s yours You’ll be the central point of contact for German-speaking suppliers and buyers and the trusted basis of these relationships You’ll source, negotiate and close profitable deals and work closely with the Operations team to execute smoothly You’ll work with Account Managers in other regions to close cross-border deals that neither side could land alone You’ll win and open new accounts when the market slows You’ll bring market knowledge and a good sense of prices back to the team
