Building Services Coordinator

As our operations expand We are looking for Building Services Coordinators with strong electrical or HVAC expertise for the Uusimaa region. (Note: other locations are also possible.) As a building services coordinator, you will coordinate the project’s electrical or HVAC subcontracts. You will monitor the fulfilment of the contract for electrical or HVAC work and handle related quality control, schedule and cost management. Your duties also include guiding design alongside production. You will work with subcontractors, the client and YIT’s project organisation. The goal is to enable subcontractors to carry out their contracted work as smoothly as possible, and your work plays an important role in the project’s success. Work takes place mainly at project sites. We value readiness to travel between different work sites. What do we expect from you? We expect you to have strong experience in electrical or HVAC contracting in the construction industry. You should have worked on several substantial projects and have more than three years’ experience with projects of a comparable scale. We also expect: Suitable technical education (e.g. an engineer in electrical and automation engineering or an electrical technician; an HVAC engineer or HVAC technician). Excellent project management skills (ability to read plans, understand schedules and costs, and refine and develop technical solutions), as well as the ability to work under schedule pressure. Experience in the practical implementation of various electrical or HVAC systems. Ability to collaborate with different stakeholders, such as clients, contractors and design teams. Experience working on project management and alliance projects and on industrial projects is considered an advantage. For language skills, Finnish as a native language and good spoken and written English skills. IT skills and experience with industry software. The person we are looking for is an active, self-directed team player who understands the importance of occupational safety and can lead subcontractors in accordance with YIT’s management principles.
