WE Rekry Oy is recruiting a steel construction fitter/welder for a small metal industry company in the Turku region. The client company performs iron/steel construction work for the construction industry and metalwork related to renovation. The work is practical and sites vary. There are assignments at both company premises and at customer sites, so you will work in diverse environments and see different solutions in steel and iron structures. What the job entails: As a steel construction fitter/welder you work both at the office and at customer sites in the Turku metropolitan area. The job combines installation, welding, and metalwork related to renovation. In daily work you will value initiative, good work ethic, and the ability to drive your work forward independently. Your duties include for example: * installation of steel and iron structures * metalwork related to renovation * MIG and stick welding as part of daily work * working at company premises and at customer sites * occasional travel depending on the situation and your willingness In this role you will not be performing the same steps day after day. The sites vary, and there is both installation and welding, so you can utilize your skills in a diverse way. What we expect from you: We are looking for someone with practical experience in the metal industry or relevant education. In this role, it is most important that you know the basics and can work independently. Requirements: * previous experience in the metal industry or education in the field * basic MIG and stick welding skills * ability to work independently and proactively * interest in steel structures and renovation * responsible and hands-on approach to work Nice to have: * previous experience in installing steel structures * experience in metal projects in the construction industry * preparedness for occasional travel * welding classes are not required for this position.
