The Engineering Manager will lead and direct an Engineering team within EMEA Critical Power Solutions (CPS) R&D organization, with full accountability for product delivery, engineering strategy, and team performance. They will drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering disciplines, shape technical direction, and ensure alignment with business objectives and organizational goals. Your responsibilities will be: Define and drive the engineering strategy and roadmap for new product development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market requirements Accountable for product delivery, including schedule, budget, quality, and technical performance targets Build, lead and develop a high-performing engineering team; recommend and champion hiring, promotion, and performance decisions Direct and orchestrate cross-functional engineering resources across Hardware (HW), Firmware (FW), and Mechanical Engineering (ME) disciplines Establish team objectives, priorities, and performance standards; conduct performance reviews and drive talent development initiatives Represent engineering in senior leadership forums and cross-functional steering committees Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and best practices Ensure technical decisions and product designs meet IEC standards and EU regulatory requirements; serve as escalation point for compliance matters Provide input to engineering budget planning and optimize resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects Champion innovation and technical excellence; mentor senior engineers and fosters knowledge sharing Accountable for safety culture and compliance in R&D test labs in partnership with Lead Safety Engineer Master / Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or equivalent Min 8 years in power electronics/electrical product design, with solid experience in technical leadership or management roles Demonstrated success in building and scaling engineering capabilities in evolving or fast-growing product environments Experience with power electronics, medium voltage systems, UPS/power conversion technologies, systems engineering, product development lifecycle Strong leadership and people management skills, stakeholder communication, cross-functional team coordination, strategic thinking Ability to influence and drive complex technical initiatives
