Service Manager

We are seeking a reliable service manager for a permanent, full-time position in the kitchen at Gerby day care. The role has overall responsibility for the kitchen operations, including breakfast, lunch and snacks. Food for lunch is delivered hot from the central kitchen while potatoes, rice, pasta and portioned products are prepared on site. Responsibilities include ordering food from the central kitchen, dishwashing, and taking charge of the kitchen’s self-inspection. Typically work hours are weekdays from 7:00 to 15:00, and the employee must be available for assignments outside regular hours. The successful candidate should start as soon as possible. Core requirements include a basic qualification in the restaurant industry and experience working in a large kitchen. You are a natural customer service person with a genuine service mindset, able to work independently and with colleagues. Basic IT skills are required. A hygiene certificate and good knowledge of Finnish or Swedish are also required. A background check (criminal record) must be presented before the start of employment.
