Automotive Vocational Instructor

The position is an automotive vocational instructor in the Tavastia Vocational College (Ammattiopisto Tavastia) for the departments of Surface finishing, automotive, mechanical and production technology, and logistics. The instructor will support practical learning in the vehicle workshop, with a focus on student-centered guidance, handling client projects, and ensuring a safe working environment. The role includes receiving client projects, organizing work, and quality assurance in collaboration with the students and teaching team. Requirements include practical work experience in the vehicle sector, the ability to guide diverse students, strong communication and teamwork skills, flexibility and initiative, a desire to develop one’s own skills, and demonstrated digital literacy with the ability to work as part of a teaching team and plan one’s own work independently. Before starting, a police background check (504/2002) must be presented and a occupational health statement must be approved after starting.
