About the role

A well-capitalised proprietary trading firm operating at the forefront of electronic markets is looking for a talented C++ Software Engineer to join their London engineering team. The business is highly profitable, technically driven, and operates across multiple asset classes with a focus on low latency execution and systematic strategies. This is a hands on engineering role embedded within a high performing team. You will work directly on core trading infrastructure building, optimising, and owning systems that operate in production at speed and scale. Engineers here are given real ownership from day one. The Role: Design, build, and maintain high-performance C++ systems within a latency sensitive trading environment. Contribute to the full software lifecycle from architecture and development through to deployment and optimisation. Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders to implement and improve execution and signal infrastructure. Profile and optimise existing systems for throughput, latency, and reliability. Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence. Requirements: 2+ years of professional C++ development experience in a performance critical environment. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline from a top tier university. Strong grasp of systems programming concepts memory management, concurrency, networking, and low level optimisation. Ability to write clean, efficient, and well tested code under real world production constraints.
