We are seeking an Early Childhood Social Pedagogue to join Vantaa's Early Childhood Education unit, based at Ylästön päiväkoti. The role involves working as part of a multi-professional team to plan, implement and evaluate pedagogical activities, while taking joint responsibility for parenting collaboration. You will strengthen community and participation together with guardians and other child and family actors, develop services and new ways of working to promote child and family wellbeing and belonging, and support the wellbeing of children and the guidance of children, families and guardians. The position is located at Ylästön päiväkoti, a six-group day-care centre near Ylästön school, with nearby parks, forests and river-protected areas. You will work in the 2–4 year old group with a preschool teacher and a childminder. We value peer support, inclusive leadership and a collaborative, positive work culture. You will be flexible, positive and a team player who listens to children with sensitivity and truly participates in their daily life. The unit employs 17 early childhood professionals and a varying number of support staff; it is part of the Ylästön unit comprising three day-care centres led by a dual leadership model.
