About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer for John Deere Tractor Software Teams located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will develop software within the drive strategy team working on innovative, high visibility projects transforming agriculture. You will also: Develop embedded software in MATLAB Simulink and C as part of a global team executing tractor drive strategy. Be responsible for testing software in multiple environments HIL, SIL, and VIL. Be responsible for collaborating with system engineers to design software that meets customer needs. Be responsible for tuning vehicle performance to achieve efficiency and productivity goals. Analyze issues and drive for resolution of issues found during lab and field testing. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position. What Skills You Need: Demonstrated experience with minimum of 3 years developing embedded applications using MATLAB Simulink and C. Demonstrated experience with minimum of 3 years developing and troubleshooting complex control systems. Demonstrated experience controlling engine and transmission systems to meet vehicle performance requirements. Experienced operating and developing control systems for large agriculture equipment. Demonstrated experience working with Real Time Embedded Operating Systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in a global team environment.
