School Assistant

Ylivieska has nine elementary schools, one combined school, and one middle school. All elementary schools provide education for grades 1-6, and some also offer preschool education. The preschool education locations are decided annually based on applications. Kaisaniemi Middle School teaches grades 7-9. Taanila School is a combined school for grades 0-9. In Ylivieska, approximately 1,500 children attend elementary school, including preschoolers, and about 700 students attend middle school. As a substitute, you can specify your preferred schools. Longer-term substitutes are also recruited through separate applications, so follow the open job positions at Ylivieska city. Applicants are responsible for updating their application and availability information in the register. Keeping contact and availability information up to date is a prerequisite for being offered substitute positions. The educational requirement is a qualification as a school assistant, practical nurse, or other suitable education. Tasks may include afternoon activities, guiding small groups, and general education students. The terms of employment and salary are determined according to KVTES. Payment for school assistant work may be suspended during school holidays if the employer cannot assign other work. A criminal record extract as referred to in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act must be presented if the total duration of substitutes exceeds three months within a year.
